Happy 2nd Birthday Selah

Oh my Selah girl.  You are something special!  I am amazed at how much you have grown in the last year (not weight wise but personality!).  You are a gem and I sit in wonder as I watch you.  You have many personalities right now and are very curious as to what you can get away with.  You are very independent and enjoy time by yourself!  You love when Soren or Maeta play with you but I think you prefer when you get a room to yourself and can play with no disturbance.
You are still a peanut weighing 21 lbs.  You have the brightest of blue eyes and they make a perfect circle.  You are gluten free and can only drink Raw milk.  Pasteurized milk makes you really nasally.  You love to run, play babies, take baths, avoid sleep, and read books.  You like to go bye-bye.

You talk a lot about Jesus dying on the cross and how he is alive now.  Your face lights up when you say "He's Alive!"  I love seeing you learn!  You also try to say your ABC's and can count to 16!
Your birthday was on a Sunday so we did a little celebration with just us before church.

Selah at the exact minute she turned 2!  1:39am
Good morning Birthday Girl.  I think you feel pretty special!

After church we went to Nana and Papa's for your birthday party.  Your theme for the party was "baby Jonathan."  That's the only thing you wanted!  You love babies and especially love baby Jonathan!

Here is your baby cake and a picture of you holding Jonathan.

During presents we brought one from mom and dad for you to open in front of everyone.  It was a "I'm a Big Sister" shirt!!!!!!  You were so excited that mommy has a baby in my tummy!  Daddy and I found out we were expecting two days before the party so we thought that would be a fun way to share the news with you kids and everyone else!

Soren was soooooooooo happy with the news.  He kept hugging my tummy and saying "I'm so happy!"
Maeta didn't really get what was going on so dad is explaining here...
Me imitating Selah praying for a baby.  She kept praying, "God, baby, please, Amen"

We are so excited for you to be a big sister Selah! We Praise God for your life!

March Randoms

Here are a few March randoms!!!
We got to watch Finn!

We had to say good-bye to our good neighbor friends Nathan, Rachel and Noah (with baby Selah in the belly) because they moved back to Pennsylvania.  We are so grateful for their friendship over the last year!

The kids are very into making their eggs in the morning.

Sledding with the Williams

We spent a warmish March day sledding with the Williams family.  We had a great time!  There is a perfect sized hill for the little kids and a playground.

Selah checking out Ava!

Once the kids spotted the park, sledding was over!  It has been a long Winter with no parks!
The snow was nice and sticky so Dustin and Soren built a huge snow man!!!

Visiting the Greats!

One Friday afternoon I got these two little gems.
Nick had taken the oldest 4 to the movie Frozen, Alicia had Jonathan at the doctor, and I got Ruthie and Selah.  We went to visit G'pa Dave and G'ma Evie.
G'ma Evie is so cute how she thinks for games to entertain the little girls!

The girls mostly like running up and down the halls!  Alicia met us there so G'pa Dave could meet his name sake!
These two had the whole place laughing as they walked holding hands in their red glittery shoes and red jackets!
