The Skate Park

Many Summer mornings have been spent at our local skate park this year.  Soren and Maeta go all the time with Dustin and will be gone for a few hours!  Selah and I join when we can.  Soren bikes and scoots, Dustin bikes and skate boards, and Maeta scoots, and Selah slides!  Such a fun activity!!!

Our 7 Year Anniversary Trip

Dustin decided that we needed a little get away just the two of us with his surf board!  So last weekend we headed to San Clemente CA for a little refresher and to celebrate 7 wonderful years of marriage.  It was fantastic!
When we got there we were so hungry but wanted to find a Pedros Tacos to eat because we heard it was good... it was sooooooooooo good.  We ate right in the back of our rented mini van (yes, even without kids we rented a minivan to fit the surf board!).
We then headed to Trestles.  Trestles is undeveloped and known for its good surfing.  You have to walk a long ways to get to it.  If you're a local you just strap your board to your bike and bike down.
It is a beautiful walk.

We were walking on this railroad when my ears started ringing.  I asked Dustin if these tracks are still used, but I saw for myself that they very much were.  We ran down but it felt like the wind from the train was going to suck us right in...
Dustin loved it!
His buddy met him for a few hours...
That evening Dustin let me pick where to eat.  I couldn't resist my favorite pizza in the whole world.  It is soooooo good!
The rest of the time we enjoyed San Onofre beach.  Dustin and I thought this was absolutely the corniest thing I could do, but I always write things in the sand.  Last time I wrote "Selah 6 Months" in this spot. So here it is, enjoy the cornie!
We had a wonderfully relaxing time!  Thank you Dustin for being so fun to travel with!
Thank you so much mom and dad for watching our three kids.  I know you got no sleep but the kids had such a great time.  They can't wait to do it again!!!!!  We are so blessed by you!

Bike Races

Biking has been Soren and Dustin's main hobby this Summer (since Dustin hurt his finger rock climbing he has had to take the Summer off).  Soren just bikes ALL DAY LONG.  He loves it.  It is a fun thing for Dustin and Soren to do together.  Most days, Dustin doesn't even get in the door from work before Soren asks to go biking with him!  Dustin even tried a few races.  He started toward the end of the racing season but is excited to get more into it!  Here are a few of the races he did...
After his first one... a bit out of breath!
 Soren did a race too...
 It was so cute!
Maeta is a wonderful little cheerleader!

 Early morning race...
It is fun to go and watch and enjoy Summer mornings and evenings!
