Privacy

Hello all, I have been feeling led to go private on my blog.  I would like to know more who is reading about our daily lives instead of having it be open to all.  I might try this for a while and see how it goes. If you are interested in continuing to follow my blog will you email me or comment here so I can add you to the list?  God bless!

Our rock climbing date...

When my parents called us up and asked to watch the kids we jump right into gear and knew what we wanted to do: rock climb!  Dustin has been wanting me to try it for a while but I kept saying that I need to get some muscles back first!  Since it was raining we decided to go rock climbing indoors instead of out doors.  I was a wonderful time with my man.

 And he's super strong!!!

A date with Nana and G'ma "Thuthie" (aka Susie)...

My kids are not only blessed with grandparents who love them to pieces, but also with grandparents' friends who love them to pieces.  Sue is my mom's wonderful friend, part of their "Wild Girls" group or as I call them the "Ya-ya's" and she loves my kids which I feel so blessed by!  Grandma Susie just became a G'ma to little Rose!  Last night G'ma Thuthie as Maeta calls her came with my mom to take the kids out on a date.  My kids had a blast!  I am so thankful for her love!  Thanks Nana and G'ma Thuthie!

5, 3, and 1...

Our kids right now: 5, 3, and 1...
Soren continues to be the most kind hearted person I know.  He is so patient with his sisters and me and very quick to forgive.  He is so creative and loves to pretend.  Right now Superman, Ninjas, and Moses are his favorites!  He loves that Moses has a 'real' bow staff as he parts the Sea leading the Israelites out of Egypt!  He also loves running and scooting.  He would move all day long if I could keep up with his endurance.  Scooting to the park and playing Ninjas while there with Maeta would be his favorite activity!  He can also carry Selah around and watch her as she goes up and down the stairs, which is very helpful!  I love you Soren!
Maeta continues to get more and more funny with each passing day.  She laughs like her Grandma Mary Ann use to, and mostly laughs at herself!  She is my little buddy, always around me.  Soren leaves for preschool and Selah naps but Maeta is with me 24/7, and I love it!  She is a brothers dream.  Forget princesses, she is all about being Ninjas and Spider man!  Her favorite though is playing Cars with Soren or watching a Ninja episode!  Maeta has a fantastic memory and especially loves talking about Bible Stories and the names of God.  She blows us away with what she remembers!  I love you Maeta.
Selah is still our little peanut.  Although she isn't walking she is getting stronger which we are thankful for.  She loves going up and down stairs, picking up a Ninja and saying "high-YA" and snacking on crackers all day long!  She is a talker.  She tries to copy what the older kids say and reminds me so much of what Maeta was like at her age.  Although the two girls look different I think they may have very similar personalities!  Selah still loves to cuddle and she LOVES bike rides!  I love you Selah!

On Mother's Day we got to Dedicate Selah...

What a gift this Mother's Day was as we were able to dedicate Selah at our church.  It is so special to be able to publicly acknowledge in front of our church that Selah is a gift from God, and that Dustin and I surrender all worldly claims in her life in the hope that she will belong wholly to Christ.  Our biggest prayer for Selah is that she would know Christ as her Savior and understand that it is only through the blood of Christ that she can be forgiven.  We pray that she would have a deep passion for the Gospel.  Dustin and I are so thankful for Selah and we pray that she would bring glory to God in all that she does.  Here are the 5 questions we commit to during the dedication:

1.) Do you recognize Selah as a gift of God and give heartfelt thanks for God's blessing?
2.) Do you now dedicate Selah to the Lord who gave her to you, surrendering all worldly claims upon her life in the hope that she will belong wholly to Jesus Christ?
3.) Do you pledge as parents that, with God's fatherly help, you will bring up Selah in the discipline and instruction of the Lord, making every reasonable effort, with patience and love, to build the word of God, the character of Christ and the joy of the Lord into Selah's life?
4.) Do you promise to provide, through God's blessing, for the physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual needs of Selah, looking to your own Heavenly Father for the wisdom, love and strength to serve her and not use her?
5.) Do you promise, God helping you, to make it your regular prayer that by God's grace Selah will come to trust in Jesus Christ alone for the forgiveness of their sins and for the fulfillment of all his promises to her, even eternal life; and in this faith follow Jesus as Lord and obey his teachings?

The rest of Mother's Day was wonderful.  I woke up to cards and hugs from the kids...
After Church I got to spend time with my mom and the other mother's of the family at my grandparent's house.  It was a beautiful day!
So thankful that the Lord has blessed me with children.  And so thankful to have a mom I love so much and have been so blessed by.

A Spring Day

This morning we had our last MOMS day of the year.  This year I was a table hostess and was so blessed by the women below!  So thankful that the Lord placed them all at my table because I enjoyed the fellowship with them so much.  The last day of MOMS is always the Spring Tea.  We get to drink from tea cups and eat yummy food!  Loved it!
We came home and put Selah down for nap and Soren and Maeta couldn't wait to try their new slip-n-slide.  They were so giddy and so cute!  I am so thankful at the friendship they have with each other.
After two hours in the cold hose water, they were freezing.  Their lips were so blue!
 Trying to warm up!
We are are so thankful for these warm and sun shinning days!!!

Another Catch-Up

Biking on a day when it was nice out but Maeta wasn't feeling good (hence pj's)!  Maeta wanted to be doing things but wasn't up for playing.  She just wanted me to keep riding around on the bike because she liked the wind in her face!
My baby girl with her baby on the swing, two of her favorite things!
Mom and Soren before date night!!!  I pray he will always want to take me out on date night!
 Daddy and his pj girls!
Soren at his friend Crosby's birthday party.  He had so much fun!
 Such sweet friends!
Selah attempting the big girl car seat.  She liked it but the other two couldn't get themselves buckled in different car seats so we went back to Selah in the baby seat and the other two in their normal seats!
The girls trying on Auntie Sami's necklaces, they love going through her room looking for jewelery while she is away at college!
Celebrating Dad, Nick and Sami's (even through she wasn't there) birthdays!
These two discovered video games on dad's phone.  I don't think I like it.
 Selah in her glory!
 Gymnastics...
Selah was so excited to play with a real baby!!!  Selah loving on baby Ava!

Our Sunday

I had a bike, baby seat, and trailer that we had to leave in NC when we moved back home.  So this Spring Dustin got me set up with this "bus!"  I love it!  However, last weekend we packed all our bikes up in Dustin's truck to bring to my parent's house for a bike ride.  MY BIKE FLEW OUT OF THE TRUCK ON THE FREEWAY, praise God no one was hurt behind us.  It was all beat up.  So it has been in the bike shop for the week getting new parts and all fixed up.  We just got it back right in time for this beautiful Sunday!
So here I am, with my small gang behind me.  The hills were HARD to get up.  Dustin estimated that I was pulling about 120 extra pounds with the weight of the kids and equipment.  I need to get in shape because my legs were jello after all the hills!  We had such a wonderful time together!!!  I love these moments!
