Happy 6 years to my LOVE

On our 6 year anniversary this past Sat. I woke up and went to spend a few hours with some girl friends on a boat to celebrate Jenna!  It was her bachelorette party later in the day/evening but with three kids and an anniversary to celebrate, I was thrilled to get to spend a few hours away relaxing on a boat and talking about the upcoming wedding!
 The future BRIDE!
After the boat I met my children and Groom at my parents house.  My parents watched Soren and Maeta for the day and night so Dustin and I could celebrate.  Here we are 6 years into wedded bliss!
We had a wonderful evening in Stillwater.  It was the perfect night to sit by the river chatting!
While my parents had the kids they taught Soren how to swim without his water wings!  The next day we went swimming after church and he couldn't wait to show us!  Here he is...
 And little miss Selah!
 Maeta and my mom...
Thanks mom and dad for watching the kids while we had a night out!  The kids had a great time!

Tea Time

Towards the end of quiet time I came into the kids bedroom and announced in my best "fancy" accent that in 5 minutes I would be serving tea and dessert in the dining room.  The kids were a little confused but quickly changed into fancy clothes.  They held hands coming down the stairs and sat down at their table.  They were giggling!
They love anytime they get to play with the little tea set.  Maeta especially loved the tea (which was really Kool aid and they had never had it before).
 Soren loves wearing a tie!
Made for a fun little activity on a Wed. afternoon!

Our weekend

Friday we played with cousins and the two littles were in matching ruffles!
The big sisters doting on them!
 Selah at 16 weeks!
Soren was filling up water balloons and I caught this picture of him!  Ha, I thought it was pretty funny!
Saturday we went to a reunion at my grandparents house!
Sunday we got to go to a baby shower for Courtney and little baby Opsahl.  We can't wait for this little boy/girl to be born.  We love him/her so much!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I got to visit with Chelsea who is back from TX for a couple weeks and her mom.  They are both elementary teachers and totally loved on Soren, Maeta, and Selah.  The kids had such a great time!  Heidi gave the kids piano lessons, they swam, ate, and were completely entertained by Heidi and Chels.  I had such a great time catching up with Chelsea too and am so blessed by her friendship.  She is so encouraging to me!  Love you!

"This one's Mine"

Often when I meet a mom for the first time she asks me, "which one's yours."  I point at one of my kids and say, "this one's mine."
Today on my run I was listening to  Mercy Me's "Spoken For" song and was filled to over flowing with the thought that, before I was even formed in my mother's womb, I was spoken for by my Heavenly Father.  The Lord God who made Earth pointed down to ME and said, "This one's MINE."
I didn't do anything to deserve His Love, but I am His.  All my sins are covered by the blood of Jesus and my Heavenly Father sees me as pure, sinless.  Not because of anything I have done but because of His Grace and Mercy.  What incredible Truth.

I'm the Little Sister

The kids all had these shirts and I have never had them wear them all at the same time.  But today, we put them on.  Maeta and Soren get so proud wearing their Big Sister/Brother shirts.  So inlove with their Little sister!
And the two matching girls!
They were laying like this and I had to take a picture because I was laughing that Selah's torso is almost as long as Maeta's!!!
What a blessing siblings are!
