The best day ever, 2011

If you have been reading my blog for a while you know about our, "Best day ever," which began 4 years ago when we packed a day full of fun and I went into labor that night with Soren. Now we reenact this day every year. It begins with a much needed girls day out. We got up at 5 am to brave the shopping which we found out was not nearly as chaotic this year with the stores opening up at midnight. We usually don't take shopping seriously but enjoy watching others fight over their desired items. We were a little disappointed to have missed that, but still had a good time.
We came home to happy kids and happy men, thankfully. The house was absolutely destroyed but we will take that to get a happy household and a girls day out! The rest of the day we did gingerbread houses...
Explored in the woods, played, ate, and got Nana's Christmas jammies for this year...
The kids always feel so special putting on their matching Christmas jammies!
We put the big Christmas tree up...
The kids helped...
And had two night games of Settlers...
A very filled, noisy, exhausting, but FUN day!

Soren's Birthday/Thanksgiving

We had Soren's birthday party with friends on Wed. during the day at Alicia's house! He wanted a Hot Rod Transformer party so that is what he got. I tried making him a Hot Rod cake but it did not turn out good at all. It looked pink which Maeta was thrilled about but Soren not so much! He still thought it was yummy though!
It was such a sweet birthday party and fun to watch Soren and Maeta play with their friends.
We are so thankful for friends!!! Aren't they lined up so cute!
This was Soren captured on Thursday, his real birthday, at the exact minute he was 4 years old, at 7:36 am.
Birthday Pancakes in the birthday chair!
All Soren said he wanted was a Hot Rod. Since Hot Rods have not been made since the 80's we had to search hard to find one within a reasonable price. He was very excited about opening it, as was Dustin!
For Thanksgiving this year we were in Stillwater at my grandparents house. We are normally at Dustin's side for Thanksgiving but this year spent it with this side. It was fun getting to be there. Soren got to celebrate his birthday there too. Our kids played so well the whole day without naps with Cade, Elle, Caleb and Lucy. We barely even saw them! It feels so crazy when they become somewhat independent.
My grandma made Turkey cookies and hid them along a trail for the kids to find. I can't believe my grandma's energy and kid-like spirit! The kids had so much fun on the Turkey hunt and it was a gorgeous day!
Here is my grandpa with 3 of his 4 girls!
And the two girl cousins playing together in-utero! Alicia is 33 weeks here and I am 21 weeks here.
Thanks Grandma for such a wonderful day. And to everyone for making Soren's birthday so much fun. We are excited to celebrate more with the Williams family tomorrow!

GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are soooooooo surprised. And thankful that everything went so well at the ultrasound. Praise God for this blessing. We came home from our date and had wrapped up a little girl outfit for the kids to open and find out if they were getting a sister or brother. We came home to a party with signs and cake that Soren, Maeta and Nana & Papa had made for little baby. So fun to celebrate this new life!
They opened it up and were very excited for their little sister.

Boy or Girl

We are thrilled to be 20 weeks pregnant with another life. Every time I feel this baby move I am in awe of what is being formed in there. Tomorrow we will go in for our 20 week scan. I tend to get a little nervous for this scan because they check so many things. Please pray for our baby, that everything would be healthy, and God's Will be done. We love this baby no matter what we find out tomorrow and praise God for it's life. We also decided that we ARE (if baby cooperates) going to find out the gender for this one. Leave a comment on what you think the baby is!!!

Randoms!

We got to help Celebrate GG's 75th birthday!!!! It was so fun to be there celebrating her life with lots of Dustin's family. She seemed very surprised and happy to see everyone there!!!
Maeta and Soren tore through her presents with her. Happy 75th Maggie!
We have been back into Crafts. The kids just love anything to do with cutting, gluing and glitter! Here are our Thanksgiving Turkey hands Maeta and Soren made.
Maeta is sooooooo into Belle right now. I even have to readdress her as Belle. I will say, "Maeta come brush your teeth." And she replies, "Mom, say Belle come brush your teeth!" She even makes me do activities with Belle, like read to her even if Maeta doesn't want to listen to the book.
We have been enjoying a lot of play dates too. Here is Tami leading crafts at her house! Tami, Alicia and I even got to have sewing club night!!!

Praying for Caleb and fun with Lucy!

Caleb has been in the hospital yesterday and today for his routine EEG testing to see what/if there is any seizure activity going on. You can keep updated on Caleb here. But while Caleb is on vacation at his resort hospital room with both parents, we get to have fun with Lucy girl. The three kids were so excited for their fun sleepover day!
Always have to be sitting right next to each other!
Craft time...
Soren is really into racing so we had a big tournament...
Even had an awards ceremony...
Puzzles...
The kids had such a fun day together and woke up really excited to play this morning.
We are praying for you Caleb, you are a warrior!

(Our tree planted for our baby right outside my childhood window, the window we are now back living in!)
It has been three years ago that we lost from this earth our 2nd baby. We knew that the baby had been lost a few week prior but on Nov. 7 my body finally realized that the baby was no longer living and labored it out. A very tough day as a mother. That was a hard couple months but God was so good to me. It is amazing how much God will reveal himself to you when you lay yourself before Him and cry out to be held. I remember thinking, Lord never let me be the same again. He had shown me how much He loved me, to not live 'in love' with this world or the things in it but live with my thoughts and desires in Heaven with Christ. To give the things I loved most, to Him and to Trust His ways. I still struggle to do this but when I think about having a child face to face with the Lord, I can't wait to meet my Jesus and child someday. Oh God is so good and we are so unworthy of His love and mercy and LIFE. Praying for all to know Him and see His mercies today.

Halloween 2011

We had a very disappointing Halloween this year. My kids were going on day 4 of being sick (Maeta was pretty bad this day) and I think were on their all time worse behavior day! They both just wanted to be held all day long. No one else could barely even look at them, and this mama was about to loose it! No it wasn't that bad, just a hard day. But we still tried to get dressed up and Trick-or-treat. Maeta would put here princess costume on (which changed from Spider Man that week) but Soren liked being a Pirate (which switched from a kitty the night before).
