Happy 4th Birthday Caleb

We got to celebrate Caleb's 4th birthday today. His real birthday is tomorrow. Alicia and Nick put so much time into making a fun Up (the Pixar Movie) themed party. Nick spent over 40 hours this week building the Up house. The waterfall is in the background, over 75 balloons, and a paper machete Kevin (the bird from the movie). Alicia was dressed like Elle (the lady in the movie) Nick was dressed like Carl, and Caleb was Russell.

The boys had such a fun time hitting the Kevin Pinata.

Soren would not leave Sami's side. If I came around he would run to Sami instead and say, "My Aami." I love this picture. Maeta adores Soren!

Caleb, we hope you had a wonderful Birthday. Thanks for sharing it with us. We love you so much. You have been such a blessing in your 4 years. I remember falling in love with you the day you were born. You still melt my heart!

Daddy's soothing guitar

Whenever the babies are fussy (Soren when he was little and Maeta now) Dustin soothes them with the guitar.  They instantly stop crying and will watch him play for such a long time.

Here is Soren listening to Daddy play...
And Maeta enjoying it too...

School Con't...

(Yes, Soren wears his pj's most days.  I can't get them off of him.  Just a battle I find not worth it!)
School time continues to be a favorite in Soren's day.  He loves working on his letters and colors the most.  He is on A, B, C, D, E, and F.  Although he would like to work on B and S everyday!  He also asks or tells me what colors he sees all the time.  Such as, "Mama, orange sign" or "Mama, daddy shirt greeeeeeeen."  Today we were playing at my parents house and he was trying so hard to tell me and my mom, "Papa's p-p-p-wane b-b-bwack (Papa's plane is black).  Sometimes he can't get the word out as fast as he'd like!  Here are more pictures from some of our work times...

Maeta also enjoys learning new skills like: rolling onto her side, grabbing toys and putting them in her mouth, and yelling in a bunch or different pitches!

She found her feet

Aside from feeling so much better today, Maeta had a great day playing with her feet.  Baby feet are the cutest things ever and even cuter when a pudgy baby hand grabs them.  So much softness and squishiness.

Too much information about POOP

Soren is trying to give up his naps.  I still make him go into his bed and try for a while.  However, he figured out a way to be able to get out of bed without getting in trouble.  He poops.  He knows we can't get mad at him for coming to get us if he has poop  in his diaper.  So he has learned to poop on command.  Today he pooped 3 different times.  Each time I heard his little feet come down the stairs I thought, Oh that little stinker, and each time there was poop.  It is very rare for him to poop more than 1 time a day, so 3 times within an hour and during nap time is no coincidence; he found a loop hole in our system.
Here's the little culprit...

And she sleeps...

After another terrible night of fevers, coughing, and no sleep, I brought Maeta back into the doctor.  Her lungs are still good, but she has an ear infection besides the virus making her cough so bad.  So I had to put her on an antibiotic.  And now...
She sleeps peacefully...

Sick of sickness

This little girl could use your prayers.  She is really sick and sick of it too.  She has had a temp, horse voice, snot galore, and a deep cough.  She just began some medicine but it doesn't seem to be helping very much.  She can't sleep more than 45 min. (even through the night) and is really really uncomfortable.  So please pray for healing on her little body.

So while I have been tending to Maeta needing to be held at all times, Dustin has been playing with Soren and being super dad.  This morning I caught him teaching Soren how to wrap a present.  The present was an empty box but that is how desperate we are for things to do during these long winter months!!!  He thought Soren would have fun playing with the tape!

A brothers love...

When your baby sister wakes up with a fever and the same terrible cough you have had, you must jump into her crib and tenderly love on her...

Snotty noses and pj's is what we have been wearing all week.  Soren only has the remaining cough but Maeta is in the beginning stages of this mid winter cold.  We have been cuddling all day!

She's a little bit of Sunshine!

Our precious little girl is bringing even more sunshine into our days.  Soren, Dustin, and I are all smitten with her...

Maeta and I traveled with my parents to Samantha's Gymnastics meet last night.  Sam did great and we had a lot of fun getting to see her.

Here is the signature picture of Sam with whatever baby is there...

February Warmth

We have been loving this warm weather.  The last 3 days we have spent playing outside.  Yesterday Soren spent 2 hours out there and today has been the same.  He loves pushing his stroller through the water puddles.

The view from here...

Today we pushed Soren's toy car around the neighborhood and he kept having the stop to fill it up with gas.  He is pretending a lot these days and I think it is adorable.  We also saw 3 BIG planes fly right above us, which he thought was pretty neat.
